my name is john schultz, my father ken’s family lived at the balconies for many years during and after ww2. the man who created the original bronze mermaids at ben bucklers ” big rock ” also lived here. i think the old lady pictured in a full length coat and hat talking to another lady in a light coloured dress and cardigan was called ” mate” by my parents ellen and ken.
