Hi Dan can you email me your details – I have two different home addresses for you – as I want to order copies of Bondi Stories for the Library.
Fantastic!
Hey Guys,
I’m trying to get some of these awesome photos of Bondi to put up in the Beach Rd Hotel.
Can someone point me in the right direction of who could help me out with this?
PLEASE XX
You captured the essence of the Bondi I knew. I recently returned to Bondi (after our mum passed away) where I was born and grew up in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Life changed, I fell in love with Bondi again, published the book I wrote for our mum four years ago and began to research Bondi’s history for a small tour. I came across your fantastic site, your book is a must, well done! Congratulations!!! Ahhh love the stories and images.
Hi Lexa, Thanks for the encouraging post and congratulations on publishing your book! I look forward to reading it. Regards, Dan
Oh I have ordered your book, it looks like a great read about the essence of Bondi. Not those boring factual sites! Arghhh You have to know the stories to really understand the place, which you have shared with us. I thank you for preserving these stories. 🙂
Would you mind if I posted you book on my other blog? http://bondigirlmeets.wordpress.com/ It is such a great find. Cheers, Lexa
Thanks! Much appreciated.
Dan
Hi Dan, Would you mind if I displayed 2-3 of your images on my blog To mum….with a link to your book? I just love the history. Cheers, Lexa 🙂
Go for your life! I appreciate the exposure. Thanks!
Oh great and thanks. L:)
Great site! I was born and raised in Bondi… and was trying to find photos of Bondi growing up in the 1980’s… pity there aren’t more photos on the site… Thank you so much for this…
Hello
Great website.
Is it possible to purchase high res files of the old photos? I’d love to get a few prints.
Many thanks
Ben
We don’t have any high res versions, sorry. Most of the pics have been borrowed from elsewhere on the net. You could try the NSW State Library website. I think they can provide high res versions from their collection.
